They are taken from their comfort zones and made to attend these institutions. This is a good project for the government. Before this system was introduced, evaluation was done on the amount of loss which was experienced through those who did not complete their education. This was viewed as a lot of man-power put to waste. It was realized that the economy would grow at a high rate if these individuals were put to work.
In the past, skills taught were mainly based on factory labor as there were many factories and few people to work in them. Individuals were taught on how to operate machines and through this, they could get employment in the various factories. In the world of today however, emphasis is put more on information and technology.
Alternative education institutions vary in many aspects. They differ in how they usually are structured, where they are positioned, the types of services which are offered and the kind of personnel in them. All in all they all serve the same purpose of training individuals to make them become skilled hence join the workforce of the nation.
These schools are not strict; they actually are very open in the way that they are run. Admission of students is done all year round and they are open to all kinds of students. This is in a bid to see to it that no much pressure is put on these students hence they usually are given a peace of mind and a good learning environment is created.
Individuals are not supposed to be looked down upon because they joined these types of institutions. This is because there are very many situations which may make one become a drop out. It may have been due to financial constraints, early pregnancy or some form of disability. The society is not supposed to view them as any less of qualified persons.
